Avocado Oil Soap Bar

Avocado oil is unusual among plant oils in how deeply it sits on skin. It's heavy in oleic acid — the same fat that makes olive oil what it is, but at a higher proportion — and it carries vitamins A, D and E along with natural antioxidants. In this bar it does one job: cushion and soften skin that feels tired, dry and generally depleted.

The lather is dense and slow to rinse, closer to a cream than a foam, and it leaves a genuine softness behind rather than a fleeting one. No fragrance is added — nothing to distract from the richness of the oil itself.

How it's made

Cold-processed by hand in Turkey and cured on wooden racks for several weeks. Each bar is cut by hand from a poured block, so slight differences in size, shade and marbling are normal.

Making it last

Keep the bar on a draining dish and never leave it sitting in water. A cold-process bar that dries out fully between uses lasts two to three times longer.
