Aloe Vera Soap Bar

Description
Aloe vera turns up in Egyptian medical papyri, in Dioscorides, and in traditional practice across three continents. Modern analysis has found more than seventy active compounds in the leaf. It has stayed in continuous use for four thousand years for a simple reason: it works on skin that is hot, tight and unhappy.
In bar form the character shifts slightly and improves. Where a gel sits on the surface, this gives a light, almost watery lather that cools as it rinses. There is very little scent — a faint green freshness, closer to cucumber than to anything floral — which makes it one of the few genuinely universal bars we make. It doesn't fight with perfume and it doesn't linger.
Why you'll like it
- Cooling and calming on skin that has had too much sun or wind
- Light enough for daily use on every skin type
- Almost unscented — good if you dislike fragranced products
- The obvious bar for summer, though it works year-round
Best for
Sensitive, dry or sun-exposed skin. All skin types.
How to use
Lather onto wet skin and rinse. Once or twice daily. Particularly welcome at the end of a long day outdoors.
Ingredients
Aloe vera extract, olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, sodium hydroxide, water.
How it's made
Cold-processed by hand in Anatolia and cured on wooden racks for several weeks. No heat is applied at any stage, which is what keeps the vitamins, antioxidants and aromatic compounds in the oils intact instead of cooking them away. Each bar is cut by hand from a poured block, so slight differences in size, shade and marbling are normal — that is the method showing, not a fault.
100 g · Paraben-free · SLS-free · Never tested on animals
Making it last
Keep the bar on a draining dish and never leave it sitting in water. A cold-process bar that dries out fully between uses lasts two to three times longer.
